"A pleasing design line doesn't need any embellishment".

This is the motto Philip and Aurin Panepento have followed to create the distinctive line of jewelry that has thrilled people at art shows around the northwest for over 20 years. Inspiration comes from the minutia of nature, the graceful bending curve of a long green daffodil leaf, for example.

Having a natural aptitude, Philip studied art and jewelry design at the University of Arizona. Experience as an industrial model maker gave him an appreciation of the possibilities of metal.

In the end he developed his own proprietary metalworking technique to create pieces that are light, graceful and easy to wear while being amazingly durable.

Aurin credits Philip for the training which enables her to make their pieces and design new ones. Living a quiet life among the fir and cedar trees of rural Oregon, both Aurin and Philip are fascinated by nature.

Occasionally Philip even digs and cuts or facets stones for special pieces. Both try to incorporate natural stones or pearls in each piece they make. They use the finest quality stones and pearls that we can find.

Since these are created in nature, each one is distinctively unique. While they try carefully to match the stones and pearls in their pieces, some differences may be noticed.

Each fresh water pearl has its own iridescence and resulting color hue. This is especially obvious in with the black pearls which can reflect a fascinating rainbow of hues in the ranges from gray to blue to green to purple.
