An award winning photographer, Earl's most recent
work finds him seeking unique and pleasing images in the commonplace,
both in the urban as well as the natural landscape. He looks
carefully, as if observing the subject for the first time.
Earl's technique tries to take advantage of the old as well
as the new tools available in photography today. The images
are taken with a manual film camera, single focal length lens
and a heavy tripod. Then the film is scanned and adjustments
are made in Photoshop as needed, just as one does in the wet
darkroom. He strives for a photograph that is pleasing to my
mind’s eye and hopefully the viewer’s.
