The Hessel Studio approach to metalwork flows
principally from a jewelry maker's trade rather than that of
a blacksmith, and the work reflects a uniquely organic, almost
living feel.
Motivated by the Bauhaus concept of artists and craftsmen working
together to have an impact on contemporary design, Hessel Studios
strives for extraordinary quality in design combined with solid
functionality. Gregg Hessel sees the Studio as the source of
the creative process. The artwork is the by-product of this
source.
Each Hessel piece is unique, engraved and titled on the underside.
The polished surface can be easily maintained or allowed to
develop copper's natural warm, rich patina over time. The polished
surface is maintained by using a good quality non-abrasive polishing
compound with a soft cloth. Hessel's candleholders provide exquisite
accents as single pieces, paired, or grouped to different heights.
William's Gallery is please to offer a rich variety of copper
candleholders from Hessel Studios.
